The Digital Input Tablet
Did you ever find yourself wishing for something that would allow you a greater range of motion with your computer mouse or to finally be able to really sign all of those important documents which get created and transferred solely on the Internet? The answer to all of your problems is the digital input tablet.
Input tablets allow you to use a stylus to move your cursor around on your desktop with a greater range of motion and more precision than using a standard computer mouse. The standard computer mouse, even if it is a cordless or Blue Tooth model, will only allow you to move around so much or take it so quickly from one thing to another. An input tablet allows you a greater range of motion with better flexibility in your processes. It also is a multi-function tool, so you are taking up the same amount of space or less on your desk as you would with a normal mouse and mouse pad, but you can do more with it, making the digital input tablet a more effective use of space.
An input tablet can be used for a lot more than just pointing and clicking. It can also be used to sign important documents such as emails, contracts, and more. These tablets come in many different shapes and sizes, allowing you to choose the one which best suits your individual needs. If you want to use it for simple, small writing samples and mouse work, a smaller three by five model may be just what you are looking for. These typically hook directly into your computer via a USB cable and are extremely portable, allowing you to take your tablet with you when you travel or even just go to a business meeting.
Another option is the wireless input tablet which would allow you to write or use your tablet through a wireless interface, allowing you a greater range of motion and keeping your tablet easy to use while giving you the most options available for using it and transferring the data accumulated to your computer.
Input tablets are available for use with both Mac and Windows PC interfaces, so there is one out there that will support any type of software that you are currently utilizing. Many of them require a specialized type of software in order to take advantage of all of the functions available to you. In some instances, especially with the basic input tablets, the basic software required to operate your tablet will come with the device or is available as a free download from the company’s website. If this is not something that comes directly with your tablet or if you are looking for a software to do more than just the basic operating requirements, you might want to consider purchasing an upgraded product to compliment your input tablet. The uses of your input tablet are limitless. You just have to make sure that you are purchasing a software package that compliments your goals for the device.
